"basic" is an adjective as OP used it. If he had mentioned BASIC he would have meant the programming language.

QtWebKit is the recommended rendering engine, which is fairly easy to embed, cross-platform of course, has a nice web browser demonstration, and also other related examples. Ref at: http://doc.trolltech.com/4.5/qtwebkit.html[^]
