To share a folder in D: drive by command prompt

How will i execute to share a folder in local computer D: drive by command prompt and can access that craeting shared folder from other computer????

Please supply proper command syntax....

net share sharename=drive:path
The above command systax execute fine & share the specifying folder.
But not open from other computer, same OS(XP -Professional,SP2) are install both computer.
Please supply right way...

Solution 1

To share:

net share sharename=drive:path

To connect see here: MSDN[^] - its for XP, but it should work ok in Win7.
