remove the checkbox appeared for bool data type value in a field

my data set contaions some colums containing bool values when i populate the dataset to DEV EXpress Grid view it shows these values as check boxes...i dont want to shw check boxes rathe the actual data....what should i do?

Solution 1

Depending on the technology (forms,asp,wpf) the solution is a bit different. But the basic rule of thumb is that you don't let the grid populate the columns automatically, but you define the columns by your self (in code, xaml...) and you define proper editor for each column (not always needed if the data is simply shown).
