A-10 Cuba was made in 1996 by Activision and Parsoft. It was released primarily for Macintosh computers, although it was ported for Windows 95. It has been years since Parsoft dissolved. I was wondering, what are the chances that the source code is available somewhere? Can you direct me to any places where I'm more likely to find it?

I'd like to improve it. It already simulates physics very well (and fast). It's an unbelievably fun game, and it has the potential, given some improvements in graphics and geometry, to become the core for a much larger game. Maybe even an open-source one.
What I really want to know is whether or not Activision has let the source code out, or if they still care about keeping it. I don't know why they'd want to keep the source code, since they aren't improving the game, and it's a simple thing to copy the files from the disk and hack together something that works on newer operating systems. I didn't do it, since I already have a disk, but people are going to do it. As a pragmatic matter, they might as well release the code.

First of all, I think this question is off-topic. I'm just curious: did you find out that A-10 Cuba for Windows is still sold? It was found in a second. The chances to find source code are miserable of course. I wonder why? What's so special?
