Generating Thumbnail for documents in Web Service

Hi Guys,

For my project i need to create a web service that generates thumbnails of documents and save it to my local machine. i was able to get around with images easily, but this is a PIA!! .. the document can be of any type(viz:excel, word)and in the web method in service i'm passing the path of that file as a parameter. i tried it in vs2005(c#) but nothing seems to work. please help me. Thanks in advance. cheers :)
