sqljdbc hangs in the DriverManager.getConnection()

Hi,

I'm trying to get a connection via netbeans to a database server of mine. Problem is that when i try to make a connection, it just loads and never returns with an error or response. I've even tried creating a connection by using the services tab in netbeans. Can anyone help me with this please. It works fine on a lynux michine. Im using windows 7(64bit).

there is no error. It just hangs. There is no output at all
