chat application with multi company applications

Hi I want to make a c# chat application. I have the basics to do that. My problem is that i want my application to be able to communicate with other chat appliations (Yahoo! Messenger, MSN, Skype, etc.) and I don't know how to do that.

For example, if a client is logged in my application, he can chat with frends logged on other IM applications.
