Does the android avd have a limit for activitiy amount?

My app continues to freeze when I launch a new activity from a certain previous amount. For example, I have 2 activities that I had to start before I can get to the one I need. I was just wondering wheather the avd can only take so many activities in the background before the applications stops/hangs.
