Arabic and English in PDF - font encoding problems

Hey!

We are having some issues with FOP and the creation of Arabic and English documents.
We are facing some encoding trouble here, as the PDF / the eclipse framework is always going for CP-1252 encoding and not UTF-8 as we try to get.
Someone already dealed with this?
How can we get both, Arabic and Latin characters into the PDF?

I guess we are not the first ones to try this.

Solution 1

An old bug.
There is a BUgzilla-Report on this[^]

And here @ github.com[^] ...the solution to get the FOP to work with Arabic encoding. My colleague is just about to make the final implementation on that issue.
