Error in creating an microsoft excel object using vb6 if a system does not have a microsoft excel install.

i don't want microsoft excel to be install on a PC.

If you want to use an excel object in your application, then you will need to have excel installed on the PC that wants to use your application. There isn't any way around that.

Of course it's possible to do it without Office installed, but VB6… I doubt to. Who would do it for you? The idea is: could you go forward to VB.NET? I see no reasoned to suffer from VB6, ever. With .NET, you can use many solutions. You can even use some free products: free of charge Visual Studio Express or Open-Source SharpDevelop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_Studio_Express[^], http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SharpDevelop[^], http://sharpdevelop.com/[^]).
