Hi,

I am trying to emulate my eclipse project directly through my Android phone (rather than the AVD emulator). However, I cannot seem to get my computer/ eclipse to recognise my phone.

I have switched on the USB debugging setting on my phone, downloaded the Google USB Drivers from the Android SDK and am unsing Windows 7.

Next I plug my phone into my PC, it starts charging and regonises the phone (appears within the Device Manager). However, I get an error saying 'Windows was unable to install the driver'.

I then tried to update the driver directly from the device manager however this did not works.

Has anyone got any ideas how I can get this working (I know it is a setting on my computer as have tested it on my friends who has done Android development before and it works fine).

Thanks,

The problem here is not Windows 7 more the generic usb drivers don't work for all phones.

Same issue oem drivers needed[^]
