How to open current running application with file - MFC C++

I figured out how to run my application with some own extension file.
For example, when clicking on "test.abcd" my application starts.

This works fine, but..
When my applicaton is already running and I open another " *.abcd " file,
I want that my application activates the current window and opens the new file.

I know this should be possible, because software like Microsoft Office Word has something equal.

Thanks in advance.

This CP article Limiting an application to a single Instance - the MFC way[^] is about limiting your application to one instance. It also talks about opening a double-clicked file in this running instance.
