Hi guys,

I would like to ask have anyone of you had the same experience that you cannot open the rpt file from crystal report after it crashes?

Heres what happen to me.. i created an rpt file that points its datasource to an xml file...

It was working just fine... but when i try to add a new table inside the xml file (previously it has only one table, but i added another table so it contains two) and open the rpt file that points to that xml file my VS2010 just crashes.

So i figured it was an error on the xml so i returned it back to original... but now the problem is i cannot open the crystal report wizard anymore... i even tried creating a new project and added a new crystal report file but same thing the crystal report wizard will not open... i had to uninstall my vs2010 to make it work again...

1.) Any idea what cause this?
2.) Why is it not working even when i created a new project and added a new crystal report file?
3.) What are the best way or best datasource to use in crystal report to avoid this kind of problem?

Please help guys...

I cant make it run anymore i have a feeling that there are really big problem on crystal report...

Formatted for better readability.

I don't have any idea about exactly what causes this type of problem. Sometimes its just a bug on VS2010.

Answer on your third question, I think Database Stored Procedures are best data source if it is possible to create one.
Thanks
