giving the data source for ms reportviewer manually?

hi,
I am developing a program in which i require to use ms report viewer..i want to mannually or prgamatically make a dataset(that i define myself in a class) reports data source so that i can use sql queries like select * form tbl_table where id=x wher e x is some other int variable that value is calculated by progaram.can any one help me?
