Comparing lists in c sharp

Hi I have two lists, the first of which is populated on page load based on the permissions the user user has, the second is populated by the user when he/she checks some checkboxes in the grid to give tththem more or less permissions. I want to compare these two list objects and save the updated one out to the database, any suggestions at all are much appreciated thanks

Please provide sample data for both the lists and tell us what is your preferred output ?

Is it the case that when you compare the two lists that each one can contain some data that is more recent than the other ? If that's true, then aren't you talking about creating a new list containing the most recent data from both lists ?

Bala-ji's suggestion that you provide some sample data ... enough to get an idea of its structure ... is a very good one. What 'Type' are the two lists you have to work with ... identical structures ? ... identical sequences of items ?
