There are a lot of parameters that go into costing your inventory, and can be different from one business to another.

Asking for a general solution without knowing the specific of the business in question and the implementation of your existing inventory system is naive at best.

I would suggest you read up on the subject and see how you can implement it to your own specific needs in your system.
