web page search engine

Consider a dictionary page which displays meaning of some words. I want to develop an application which takes input and searches through that page and gives corresponding meaning.
can anyone guide me regarding this?

This question is far too general for a forum such as this. Try designing your program and putting the outline in place. Then when you have a specific technical question come back and post it here.
