Hi, i have created a windows service with Automatic starttype and install it in my system successfully but it does not start until i restart my system, i mean it does not start when my system boots but also it starts just when i restart my system.
is this statement true?

"windows service just starts when windows restarts"

If the startup type is set to Automatic, the service will start when Windows starts. If it's manual, you have to manually start the service.

If you have just installed the service, it doesn't start automatically so if you want it up and running you can either start the service manually or boot the Windows.

If you meant that the service doesn't start when you log off/on, then that's true. Services are independent from desktop sessions.

thanks Mike,yesterday i have create and install my service and then restart my windows so the service started successfully. but the problem occurred today when i boot my windows and opened the services list of windows from Control Panel\Administrative Tools\Services and selected my service i saw that it did not start automatically. then i restarted my windows and looked at services list again i saw it started successfully!!!
