Hi Folks,

I am looking forward to develop a Geo science data mining project, but i don;t have any idea regarding that, is there any body who can help me?

I am looking for following answers.

a) What are Geo science data mining?
b) From where I can get raw data to develop my application?

Please help me out to resolve this issue.

Im sorry but you want to develop a Geo science data mining project but have no idea what Geo science data mining is?? How did you even come up with this idea then. You should read about data mining in general first id say ... and about geo science data .. this could be a lot of different stuff.

Please let me know from where i can get enough information on this i get this topic from my college and i am planning to develop this application for my final year college project.

Your first hand information on where to get the data should be the person who assigned the task to you. And then again Geo Science isnt just one field!

You should really know much more detailled what data exactly you're dealing with. I mean Geo science wraps about topics like (some stuff from wiki): mineralogy and petrology, geochemistry, geomorphology, mineralogy and petrology, geochemistry, geomorphology, oceanography, hydrology, atmospheric sciences, climatology, atmospheric chemistry and atmospheric physics....

You really want to handle all that kind of data? And then also data mining requires a lot of domain knowledge. How would you ever be able to do data mining on data you dont even have the slightest knowledge (as it seems to me right now) about.

i have one year to complete this project, so first of all i will try to acquire some domain knowledge then i will go in depth of development.
