Well, Joomla does have its own home page on the internets, which was actually quite easy to find: Joomla[^]. Directly on that page you'll find links to their forums under the menu "Community". I especially like like the menu "Do more" which has an entry "Documentation". Directly underneath that link there is a lovely addition in somewhat smaller print:

"Learning through Reading".

There is nothing much I could add to that! Heed their advice and you'll be doing fine.
