hi i want to create a program that get list of files of a specific ftp server, notice that : i do not want to create a ftp windows client program . i have done that by several ways , i want to create a program that search files in all of the specific ftp server,i want to create a program that recieves username and pass word and address of ftp server from text boxes and then get list of all files of ftp server appears in a list view for example.

If you know about FTP client, then what's the problem with listing the files? Client also lists the files.

your link was good and i saw that but was not my answer , i want to search in all ftp server directories by date or name or last modified and etc , like windows search , but i want to search files not folders , the ftp client of your link and any ftp client can not do this , ftp clients can get list of files and folders of a specific directory of ftp server , and it is available to explore the ftp server folders and download files and rename files and folders and upload files and etc , but not search files in all of ftp server directories , ok? is there any way to do that i want or not?
