Well their websites states "Our software compiles data from various sources in real-time and presents you with a comprehensive report."

So it trawls the net for other systems offering the same info and 'borrow' that. The main players perform traffic analysis to determine the metric data.

I'm sure there will be services for this, I dare say the good ones will be pay-per-use, go search Google for domain traffic analysis.

(You could of course set up Google Analytics for your own domain if you want to monitor your own domain metrics)
