Hi,

I am facing one issue with Document library version History.

We have 2 document library.

1)In first library workflow will start on checkin event of an item

2) This work flow is a two level approval work flow

3) If document get approved then item will get copied to the new document library named PublishedData.

We are getting incorrect version history data for items in PublishedData (2nd library) .Approver Names for workflow is displayed wrong in this library items

It will be great if any body can help me in this

Thanks

"Approver Names for workflow is displayed wrong in this library items"

Can you clarify this?

Is there a reason you don't just use the publishing feature on the first library? Why copy to a second?

our workflow is custom work flow and if document get approved data should be in new libarary named publishedData and if get rejected it should be in another libarary Rejecteddata(we doing through custom coding) so that client can trace the data properly , client need to get version history properly with approver names of published data ,for their audit purpose

How are you placing the document in the new library? Copy or Move? The latter should perserve the version history but will remove the document from the original library.

You don't need seperate libraries, you can create a view and filter on approval status column.

thank you somuch for your suggestion but we already deployed the code so we cannot change that to view instead of new document library .We will do copy for placing document to new library is there any way i can get proper version history. For workflow status approver details is proper only version history is giving incorrect data
