I would like to ask if someone knows a code using visual basic that can detect if a web page has an embedded video and could get the url of that video?

I hope someone can help me..

Thanks...

Sounds like another "How do I save video from youtube.." type question.

May be similar. There cannot be absolutely universal answer, I think. As to youtube: I recently tried to download some youtubes but found that old cookbook recipe I had in my record is obsolete, not working anymore. I tried really fast Google search and fount top recipe to be obsolete as well.

Does anybody know how to do it right now. Not that is's most important thing.

There's no wya to detect this. Every browser is going to be different and they do not expose the same interfaces, if at all, for working with their document objects.

There is no system event that fires on this condition either.

I think there is no essential differences between browser (otherwise the way of getting video would work only for a specific browser which is usually not the case). However, there cannot be a universal rule to extract the URL -- please see my comment to the comment by Markus to the question above. There is no event as well, that's correct.
