It's not that simple a choice: you have to decide which suits you best by doing your own research. My own position is that I like to roll my own for small applications and use EF4 for larger ones (although that may change back to roll your own for a variety of reasons not pertinent here).

The library does introduce a layer of abstraction and bloat that you won't get if you roll your own. On the other hand the library will give you lots of stuff out of the can so you may get productive more quickly.

I would suggest that you read the docs for the library and see what you think for yourself comparing to your own experience and consequences of rolling your own solution.
