How to save data read from an xml file in to a database using web services

Hi everyOne,
i have an xml file. i have to read that xml file, deserialise it and then save its records to database.i know reading an xml from a folder then desrialsising it but how to save its data to data base i dont know. can any body help how to do that in silverlight or i have to do it using web services? pls help some body.
