looking for linux, C++ implementation of Booch weather station, or at least the timer/sampler

If there is a full C++ source code example for Booch's "Object oriented analysis and design" weather monitoring station where can I find it?

Alternatively, I'm a little confused on the full implementation of the timer, sampler and the main program. How many threads are there? main() just goes into an infinite and empty event loop. The timer is a static object. A working example would help alot.
