MFC SDI Document/View

Hey all,
I'm trying to find a good example of a first SDI MFC document View application as i'm a total newbie at this. I got the "Programming Windows with MFC" book by Jeff Prosise from my school's library but the source code CD is not included. Does anybody know where I can find it? Does anybody have it??

Also please suggest what is the best way to learn about SDI document/View app. I have searched for examples but most of them are hard to follow *for me at least.

Why are you learning this when it's been obsolete for most uses for a decade ? Is there no option to learn C# instead ? It's a lot easier, and there's more info online...

I know exactly what you mean, but I am learning this for school and in order to complete my assignment, i want to understand the fundamentals of it. And it is very hard to find any specific examples or explanation :(
