My PC getting restarts unexpectedly during VS2008 setup

Dear All,

When I Install Visual Studio 2008 on My PC unexpectedly restarts.

When We install VS 2008 there is left side of window it shows the status of installation. in that there is a step named " Install visual studio 2008"

and when a execution Actions process comes it stops for some min. and get restarts

I am very tired because of this. Please suggest for the same

It is difficult, if not impossible to suggest anything: VS installation is pretty bulletproof, and I have not heard of this before.

If could be anything: hardware, software, a virus.

If you can, try it on a different PC, to at least eliminate the installation media as a source of the problem.

Do you have any other problems with the PC? Does it meet the recommended spec for VS2008?[^]
