software distribution issues

Hi All,

I have few questions please share your ideas.

1) You may find this question interesting. I have developed a windows application and my client need code for that application. Now what I am thinking is, he can sale further to N number of client. So want some kind of functionality in code. Whenever he will sale to someone I will get intimation.

I can do this by a encrypted file which will record whole computer details and send me by mail. But he can later comment the methods.

Any idea regarding this issue, Any key generations can solve this.

2) I have developed a application using visual web express which is free download. And now I am selling to my client do I need to have any license or my client need to have any license.

Why does he want the code? If you are developing the application for him you should change extra for it to be full source code. You should also dictate if you are permitting him to sell on the application.

Basically you should get him to sign an agreement of some sort as to what exactly he is paying for
