Hello,

can anyone recommend an affordable tool for signing code?
Verisign is a little bit high-priced in my opinion.

As explained in an other thread, I want to digitally sign our applications so that antivirus software is less likely to give false alarm.

We are programming in VS 2008/C#/.NET 2.0

Kind regard

Not sure if you consider this affordable or not, but take a look here:

Thanks Espen!
Sorry, it does not answer your questions, but did you consider self-signing, without using any authority?

You can always do it. Not all types of software really require signature check-up with the authority (this is mostly used for the codes from the Web and checking authenticity of the Web services or Web applications), but signing all assemblies of all final product version is a must, in my opinion.

Are you looking for a Code Signing "Tool" or a place to buy Code Signing Certificates...

A good Tool - http://x2net.com/downloads/ x2net_signcode_setup.exe

The cheapest certificate supplier is KSoftware http://codesigning.ksoftware.net who issues Comodo certificates.
