Not able to set WP7 development env.

Hi All,

I trying to set up development environment for WP7, for that i have installed followings:

VS2010 express with silverlight 4.0
WP7 development kit
WP7 Emulator

But when i open visual studio, create new project this time i am not able to see template "silverlight for windows phone".

Can any one suggest me what i am missing???

Solution 1

Open the command prompt and run devenv /resetsettings .

This was a bit tricky because the visibility of this "trick" is well hidden in documentation. Most people never knew about this command line parameter.
Also, this is a defect of the design of VS; it should be a normal well-described menu item as well.

Therefore, this answer is very good, my big 5++++++++
