I want to use some code present in an article in a commercial project, the problem is that the author has not specified the license he wants to associate with the code.

The suggestion is to contact the author to clarify the license, in this specific case there are a number of messages asking the same question but it has never been answered.

Does an article without a license default to the The Code Project Open License (CPOL) or is it not safe to assume this.

Any help here would be appreciated.
