Hi ,

I have one client machine in Australia with windows 7 professional. we have to configure the machine for remote desktop connection so that I can Acccess the machine from anywhere in the world via internet .

Please help me how to get the machine configured with deatails .

I don't know if this is true, but I tried to do this and was blocked by the IS. I was advised to use some third party software like TeamViewer to access the machine. Good luck.

You can use TeamViewer[^] for such case. It is also free.

It's not free for official purposes!
There are lots of free network share software that you can try out:
Teamviewer (already suggested in other answer)
GoToAssist
RealVNC

Do make sure you read the license agreement before using them. AFAIR, they are free to use for personal purppse but need to have license for office work.
Though, you can go trial versions I think

Teamviwer is good however , Its session is keep changing and evey time it require the resetted passwords.Remote desktop means we can connect the machine if you know the userid and password of the machine.

For remote desktop, you need to host the client machine on open IP and expose it to the outer world. If your client is ready to do it then surely remote desktop would be the best option.
