choosing topic for doing project on virtual honeypots

i am very much interested in networking..i want to do project on honeypots...total span of project is 3 months...i want to do something new implementation for the present virtual honeypots....

right now i am pursuing my btech 3rd year ...
please help me out finding topic and title of my project...

I can't see a questionmark in your text, so whats the question?

You need a project for your final exams of education, right?
The title could be "Integrating a honeypot in the local infrastructure (for preventing industrial spying)"

Try to describe your project very exactly, the examiner wants details, details, details. Write EXACTLY what is your task and what have been done by third persons (a whole infrastructure is not built in a few days).
For more help, post more details of the overture.

Hi abhinayagopalam,

In your virtual honeypots you can include following topics..

A) Packet Analyzer
Which will give you the all information about packets which are routing in the network.

B) Intrusion Detection System(IDS)
This system will detect all the Dos Attack and will take the approprite action against it. (eg. Syn flood attack, Death of ping attack etc.)

C) NetBIOS Tool
Which will show you the all network related information shuch as Firewall setting, No. Of PC in Lan, No. of Packet Recived/Send etc...
