I feel the best place to start is to read a book. Don't start by asking question, how do I do this or why does this not work. First take your time and read and understand the concepts. It is perfectly ok to ask a question for a concept you have hard time mastering or understanding, but to shout for code or working example only will degrade your status.

In addition to books there are plenty of online resources you can utilize and don't be intimidated to ask your good friend GOOGLE questions every now and then. I assure you he will be there for you whenever you need him.
