I am building a .so file.
I had build it once, it worked.
Now I have changed the code and built once more
found that the .so file is not updated though the time stamp has changed.

Please help.
If someone knows any tool for .so file dependency checking,
please let me know.

.so file ? i think it is a shared object file in linux. Better post on some linux forums

.so is very close to .DLL. If you look at some ports from Linux to Windows, you will file some files with extension .so, but inside there are Windows PE executable signature.

As to the question, I simply don't believe OP provided accurate observation, or modification did not do anything or something like that.
