Converting Bitmap to GIF or JPG

I was wondering if there is any code sample on how to convert bitmaps to GIF or JPG in C? I couldn't use CxImage cause I'm writing code for Linux and Windows.

Solution 1

Try ImageMagick. It works both on Linux and Windows and it supports conversions of a wide range of formats including gif, jpeg anf bmps.
