Hi,
I purchased door locks which use contact-less RFID cards for access. I wanted to integrate the software which writes these key cards with my billing system.

I tried to contact the locks vendor from China for the source code, but unfortunately the company closed down a long time ago. Therefore my only option is to redesign my own key card reader/writer program with totally a different encoder/card reader/writer, because the one i bought with the locks is likely to be having an encryption which i don't know about.

Kindly, advice me is its really possible for me to keep my door locks and redesign a new door lock access system with another encoder/reader/writer, and what frameworks/sdks do i need to start off with?

My locks use contact-less cards.

Thanks in advance

What I have tried:

Don't bother. With no information at all from the manufacturer being available, you will spend considerably more in time than you will save from binning the locks and buying new ones. And time costs money!

Plus, think about it: even if you spend several weeks getting it all working from scratch, hardware breaks down (and Chinese hardware has a reputation for breaking down quickly, it's cheap for a reason!). You will not be able to get replacements, so at that point you will need to replace the locks anyway!

Me? I'd write it down to experience, and try to ensure that the replacements have support for custom software before I bought them.
