How to recognize images into others images in java

I have to do an application (at the University) which recognize images into others images on Android, in Java. I take the images from phone's camera and I have to know if in the taken photo there is one of the images that I have in a database. (For example I take a photo of a table, on the table there is a book and I want to know if that book is in my db). Can I use OpenCV? How can I do it? There is some example of this type? Thank you to all and sorry for my english.

What I have tried:

I've tried nothing yet, I need to know if it is possible and I need an example to know how to do.
