License Management in Dot net Web Application hosted at Cloud

How to restrict number of licences in a Web Application hosted at Cloud for the End Users Clients?:confused:

We are not installing the Web application anywhere and only renting the application to the clients.
The application is being developed using C#.Net, Silverlight and Microsoft Azure.

Any help is appreciable.

Solution 1

Do you use any sort of authentication mechanisms? if so, you can manage the number of licenses by the provided username/passwords.
Another way is to use certificates.
A given customer has x amount of certificates issued, each with a specific expiry date.
