The usage * selector in CSS

i am using * selector in my stylesheet at the last position. But i am getting warning saying

Can anyone explain me what is that warning.

What I have tried:

.notifications > .noti *{/* here properties occurs.}

well if i place in front warning is gone. When I place at the last it says that warning.... What is the correct way of approach sir

It is a lint warning so you can ignore it, as long as you understand that it could slow down the rendering of your page.
