Visual studio emulator not installing on dell inspiron N5040

Good day.

Please can someone help out on how to install and visual Studio emulator.

It's almost a year I've been on this problem of not being able to install visual Studio emulator on my Dell inspiron N5040 laptop, 4GB RAM. I have downloaded the xamarin setup for installing xamarin studio, ADM and the visual Studio emulator and hyper-v.

In fact, I was tired and I've abandoned the quest for so long and almost loose interest in mobile development. It just done on me of recent to ask for your help.

Please what do I need to do, to get this emulator installed?

Dell inspiron n5040, 4GB ram is what am using at the moment.
