I completed a defrag and disk clean up of the C: drive on my computer. My computer will not play a CD or DVD when loaded in the D: drive. I get the following message
"Unable to load the string table [D:/Viewer-common/String Table.properties]. I have no previous restore versions on my computer. It appears something has happened to my computer. I just don't know what. Thanks to anyone that can help me. WhimpyKid1922@outlook.com

What I have tried:

I have tried to restore to a previous date/time, but they have disappeared. Tired looking online for answers and found nothing regarding my issue.

This is not a development question, and we are not free PC support engineers.

If you have a backup of your system - and you should - then restore it.
If you don't, then make one, so you stand a chance of retrieving any data if you need to do drastic things.

At a guess, your DVD player has died, the wires are loose, or your drivers are corrupt. Check them first, and see if you can find someone locally who knows what they are doing to do a repair on windows.

As a last resort, reformat your HDD and reinstall a fresh copy of windows - you will need to download the ISO first and make a repair disk (which can be on USB). Then use the backup you created earlier to access your data.
