MFC is not in the options in visual studio

I am returning to Windows after a long time. About to embark on a new project.
Why no MFC option in Visual Studio? Should I download something extra?
Or is it a bad idea to use MFC?

What I have tried:

Nothing in particular. Still trying to enable MFC.

Install Desktop development with C++.
Not sure, but try.
