Not able to add web reference for .NET standard library in xamarin.forms

Hi,

I am doing a POC. The Requirement is need to consume asmx web service in Xamarin forms.
As part of that,i have created a new cross platform xamarin app and selected Android and IOs option .I need to add the web reference asmx url. But I am not able to find out any reference category here. Could any help me out of this.

Please let me know if any inputs required.

Thanks in advance.

What I have tried:

created a new cross platform xamarin app. tried to added in android it getting added but not able to access in .net standard library.
