Obtaining information from XML files through R

I came across to a problem where in I have to use data from XML file, and these XML files are quite big. i need only limited information from this file. Can you please suggest me the ways to pull data, i tried my best by seeing videos and free resources to pull data out but failed to do so. i am attaching a link from where this fil can be obtained.

Focus area or which all information i required from the file for all the records are LEI number (LEI), LEI name (Legal Name), Entity Status, state , city and Registration Status.

When this link open scroll down and try to download the file with the name "Level 1 Data (Who is Who)” which contain 1,212,387 records.
