SSIM for Python 3.6 - is there an SSIM code for Python?

I am having issues with detecting image similarity. I have tried using MSE, but that is not always reliable. The only SSIM method I found was for python 2.7, but I would much rather stick with 3.6....

Is there any available way to do this??? I am also new to Python.

What I have tried:

I tried using the sp module, but it would not work properly - I got "except" errors and was told it means the module was not up to date.

If it says it only works with 2.7, then that is the answer.
