I used sql server 2008r2 when i run it then show error

I goto services.msc and there is no SQLEXPRESS SERVER SHOW PLEASE HELP ME

Solution 1

Start by checking your computer - if you don't have SQL Server in the Services, then it's not running (or more likely not installed) on that computer, or not for that user of that computer: normally I'd expect the "Server name" field to be <ComputerName>\SQLEXPRESS not just .\SQLEXPRESS
Try clicking the little arrow to the right to show all servers, and check the "browse for more" option.

Sorry - but this requires access to your computer and your network to fix - neither of which we have!

yes sir i change the .\SQLEXPRESS to my computer name but problem is same
if you want access my pc i will ready to share my team viewer id or any desk id

And you really shouldn't be offering total strangers that option: you have no idea what they might do ot it or leave behind...

So start at the beginning. Have you got SQL Server installed on that PC? How can you tell?

Yes sir, i have one system in this system installs Server OS and SQL-Server 2005 but now i want install in a single system SQL-Server 2008 R2. when i brows the the more option there is not showing the name of this computer.

What is "Server OS"?
And the image you show is SSMS - Sql Server Management Studio - installing that doesn't mean that you have installed SQL server at all.
Go to the start menu, and look for the "Microsoft SQL Server nnnn" branch(es). What do you have, and what do they contain?

windows server 2000
sir i install "SQLManagementStudio_x86_ENU" it is download from Microsoft site
i install it (setup file) other system it is work fine but this system not work i disconnect the LAN connection the i install but result is same

It tells you the OS's that SQL Server 2008 requires - 2000 is not listed, you need at least 2003, and to be honest, I wouldn't install it on less than Windows 7!

Then look at what you installed: "SQLManagementStudio_x86_ENU" - the 32bit version of SQL Server Management Studio. That;s not SQL Server, it's the front end which lets you talk to SQL Server without writing code. The SQL Server 2008R2 download is a big, complicated package to install. I'd *strongly* recommend you look for a guide on the internet as tiny decisions can break your whole installation if you don't know what you are doing. Especially if you plan to install Visual Studio beside it. That can really mess things up if you do things in the wrong order.

It's also depreciated, and you should consider if you want to start working with a ten year old version of a DB...

Sir i want install SQL Server 2008R2 on windows 7 OS 32 Bit (not server OS ) i used old version because i used visual basic 2012.
one request if possible please share the link of SQL Server 2008R2

there are many files i already download
SQLManagementStudio_x86_ENU.exe 158.3 mb and
SQLEXPRWT_x86_ENU.exe 318.4 mb it right or others setup file download and what i install, i Write the store procedure in data-base

thanks sir, for reply all time and query thanks.
it is not done i think some ghost problem i try all setup file but result is same.Install same setup file some time ago then it is work properly but i unfortunately delete the master database from sql server the start problem. I format and full format the system more then 5 times but no result. thanks.
