Xamarin.forms webview: is it possible to intercept both the request and response contents from code?

Dear everybody,

I am relatively new to Xamarin and engaged in a new project, I am using a WebView control from Xamarin.Forms portable platform project, the question I have is that to know whether it is possible to interact or manipulate the incoming/request content before it hits the WebView and the outgoing/response content before it leaves from?

I know this is possible when it comes to WebApi or similar techs using MessageHandler or any other middleware libs.

Please indicate me what to read or a sample walkthrough or any other helpful material.
